Cyberpunk — Neon District Kit

A cyberpunk neon district as web-native low-poly 3D assets: megatowers crowned with holograms, noodle bars and neon storefronts, rain-slick streets, a maglev skyway, drones and a hover-car, lit night-first.

About Cyberpunk — Neon District Kit

The Cyberpunk Neon District Kit puts a whole neon block in a box for three.js and React Three Fiber. Megatowers and corporate spires climb out of frame above a canyon of glowing storefronts, overhead cable canopies and rain-slick asphalt streaked with spilt neon.

What's in the kit

  • Towers: a megatower arcology, corporate HQ spire, media billboard spire, hab-stack tower, mixed-use highrise and data center block
  • Storefronts: noodle bar, konbini, capsule hotel, arcade parlor, laundromat and ripperdoc clinic, with lit interiors visible through open shopfronts
  • Streets and skyway: wet road straight, corner, T and 4-way tiles, a holo crosswalk, back-alley paving and lanes, plus maglev skyway segments and corners on overpass pillars
  • Street clutter: vending machines, food carts, tarp stalls, neon lampposts, rooftop AC clusters, steam vents, cable bundles, fire escapes and jersey barriers
  • Signs and vehicles: neon kanji signs, holo billboards, an LED media ticker, a ground sedan, neon motorbike, police cruiser, hover-car, cargo drone and patrol drone

Night-first palettes

The default palette is Neon Night, and the catalog is built around it. Rain-Slick Neon adds a wetter street and a storm-lit sky, Toxic Dusk brings a warm smog sunset, and Acid Smog Day dims the signs to reveal the grime. There is no emissive pass and no bloom: neon tubes, lit windows and screens are modeled as lines and framed panels against dark backing, so they read as light on their own.

Building with it

Heights are 1 unit = 1 m, footprints sit on a 4 m grid, pivots are bottom-center at y = 0, and everything shares one flat-shaded vertex-color material with one draw call per asset. Six decoratable set-pieces, including neon_alley, night_market and skyway_junction, ship as a baked base, named decor nodes and empty slot anchors. Each asset has a typed R3F component, and a combined catalog GLB covers the set.

It fits sci-fi games, music and event sites, rainy-night hero scenes and any portfolio that wants a dense neon city behind the content.

Cyberpunk — Neon District Kit FAQ

skyway_maglev_segment is a 4 m straight and skyway_maglev_corner is a quarter turn on the same module, sharing one section so straights and corners join flush and close into loops. Both sit on overpass_pillar piers with the deck about 7.72 m above the tile, and they never replace a ground road tile.
No. Under Neon Night the glow keys are simply the brightest colors in a dark scene, and neon, windows, screens and lamps are built as lines and framed panels against dark backing. The keys come in families such as neon*, glass*, holo* and underglow, so you can retint a whole family in palettes.json.
The four road_wet_* tiles are a connectable set on the 4 m grid. Where an interior street meets the main ring, use the T junction, whose closed edge carries an unbroken kerb; crossings use the 4-way. backalley_paving_tile repeats seamlessly at any rotation, and backalley_lane_tile runs a slot drain that you lay as straight runs.
Every asset seats bottom-center on y = 0, including the drones, the LED ticker and the holo billboard. Lift those into the air yourself when placing them in a scene, or parent a drone to a prebuild anchor such as slot_drone in neon_alley, which carries its own position and rotation.
The combined cyberpunk.glb catalog is joined and Draco-compressed to about 3 MB, while the individual GLBs add up to roughly 81 MB because each asset is fully modeled. Use the catalog for a full district, or load only the per-asset files a page actually shows to keep downloads small.
Every asset is a web-optimized GLB (binary glTF) with Draco-compressed geometry — 62 files, 3.3 MB in total, about 786,845 triangles across the pack. Load them in plain three.js with GLTFLoader plus DRACOLoader — or in React Three Fiber with drei's useGLTF hook. The licensed download also includes typed React Three Fiber components for the pack.
