Viaduct Deck Tile

A straight bay of stone viaduct: two semicircular arches on battered piers, the ring proud of the spandrel the way a real archivolt stands, a cornice under the deck, solid parapets with a chamfered coping course and the ballast formation running down the middle. The piers sit on the tile edges at half depth, so a run of these — or a curved bay — makes one continuous viaduct with no doubled masonry at the joints.
