Cinder Yard Tile
The marshalling-yard floor: cinder and ash trodden into an oil-black crust, raked flat between the roads, stained darker where a loco stands and scattered with clinker and a dropped coal or two. GROUND ONLY — it carries NO rail and NO sleeper, and its crust sits 45 mm above the land bed, so rolling stock does not stand on it. Put a track tile under anything with wheels and keep this for the ash between the roads.
