Rockfall Debris
What comes down off a cutting face in a wet winter: a fan of broken rock spilling from a fresh scar, graded from big blocks at the toe to spoil and dust at the edges, with the raw unweathered stone showing where it sheared. Set it against a cutting wall or a rock face and the line suddenly has a reason for a speed restriction.
