Crossing Keeper Hut
The keeper's hut beside the gates: a tiny weatherboarded cabin with a stove pipe leaning out of the roof, a glowing window facing the crossing, a red fire bucket hung by the door and the gate wheel on the end wall. Someone is in there all night.
