Cattle Dock
The end-loading dock for livestock: a timber race climbing to wagon-door height with rails you could not get a leg through, a swing gate hanging open at the pen mouth, a holding pen of post-and-rail behind it and the ground churned to straw and mud where the herd stood. The most-photographed corner of any country goods yard.
