Brake Van
The van at the tail of every goods train: a heavy timber body with the guard's side lookout ducket bayed out over the solebar, an open veranda and railings at each end, the stove chimney on the roof, sand boxes on the veranda floor and the tail lamp burning red on the rear bracket. The one wagon that tells you where the train ends.
