Duckweed Bayou Water

Open bayou under a skin of duckweed: a dense green scum of tiny floating leaves lying on the black water, thinning to open channel in the gaps so the dark water still reads through. An open-water SURFACE that seams into the same grid as the plain water — a scum layer over the bayou, not a pond of its own.
