Concrete paving losing to the weeds: a full-bleed tile of real slabs with thickness and chamfered edges, laid on a bed of dark soil. Every slab has settled at its own slight tilt, so the joints step; some have cracked clean through and drifted apart, and hairline cracks wander across the rest. Grass and broadleaf weeds crowd the joints and the cracks, moss cushions sit in the gaps and creep onto the slab edges, and at one joint the roots have snapped off a slab corner and levered it up into the air.
