A dead filling station. A forecourt canopy stands on square steel columns with base plates, knee braces and rod bracing, its deep fascia still carrying a faded brand band and its soffit hung with dead light panels; the front corner has sagged onto a buckled column and one panel dangles from its wires, and the deck on top is rusting in soft blooms and streaks with a dark stain where water pooled in the sag. Empty pump islands with striped kerbs, sheared mounts and bollards sit on a jointed concrete slab spotted with oil stains, with weeds in the joints. Behind, the kiosk shopfront frames hold only glass teeth before a dark interior with its counter, under a sign band painted FUEL in worn red letters with the E swung down off its last screw, and a price pylon with missing digits leans at the forecourt corner.
