Where a side track joins the main one: the side track's ruts split to turn both ways, and every wheel path overlaps in a churned, sunken crossing of dark wet mud with puddles in its low spots, thrown clods, stones kicked out of the ruts and grass trodden flat. Past the crossing the crowns grow grass again, and the closed side keeps a plain tufted shoulder. All three arms match the straight dirt track exactly, and every edge sits at the same level.
