Channel Marker
The bayou's road sign: a marker piling driven into the channel bed with a painted daymark board on top, a lamp on the lamp key above it, and the waterline collared in algae with a bird's nest of twigs on the cap. At NIGHT the string of them is what shows the airboat the lane.
