Boat Launch Ramp Tile
The slipway where the pirogues and the airboat go in: the mud bank is CUT between two shoulders and a timber ramp runs down the cut on a rubble apron, cross-laid planks dry where a trailer backs on and algae-black where the bayou washes over them, a kerb timber down each side, a tie-off bollard and its rope coil on the apron, and four guide pilings driven to the bed carrying a boat rail each side. The shoulders are the shore set cross-section exactly, so the tile drops into a run of bayou bank without a seam. Linear and non-directional, and exempt from the junction set — a launch has one direction, into the water.
