A big orb web strung between two leaning saplings under a lashed cross-spar: fourteen uneven radials on a frame thread, a true spiral wound out from the hub with every segment sagging toward it, dew beaded along the lower strands, a torn sector with three loose ends curling out of it, and a fat garden spider waiting at the hub with its eyes catching the light. Bridge lines run to both trunks and down to the grass.
