Sidewalk corner: the footway turns a right angle, its proud paving flags carrying on around the bend on the same one-metre grid as the straight. The kerb sweeps the whole outer return in mitred stones and edges the grass verge in the inner notch as well, so both open arms hand a straight tile exactly the cross-section it expects at the seam.
