The airfield fire & rescue station. A two-bay appliance hall in profiled steel cladding on a concrete kerb, under a corrugated gable roof with ridge cap, verge flashings, gutters and downpipes. Two red roller shutters run in guide channels under their roll housings, painted with their bay numbers; bay 1 stands half open over its fire tender: a cab with a split windscreen, RESCUE header, blue light bar and mirrors, roller-shuttered lockers under a roof ladder, and rimmed wheels under black arches. A red FIRE RESCUE board fills the gable, yellow bollards guard the jambs, and the crew side has a red personnel door under a hood, a window and a wall hose reel. At the back corner a rendered drill tower, cast in lifts, rises through the roof with drill windows and a hose-drying davit to a glazed watch room, a siren and a red beacon. At night the watch room, crew windows, door lamps and beacon glow.
