The classroom sound-field speaker on its tripod stand — 1.46 m of round aluminium tube, braced legs on rubber feet and a telescoping column with a clamp knob and a safety pin, under a soft-cornered cabinet tipped down at the room on a tilt yoke. Woven grille cloth in a coral bezel with the power lamp, a strap handle on top, and on the back the level knob, two jacks, a port and the power switch. The cable drops from its jack, is wrapped to the column and one leg, and ends in a coil on the floor. The teacher wears the mic; everybody hears them.
