- Road Crossing with Dropped Kerbs
Low-Poly Road Crossing with Dropped Kerbs 3D Model (GLB)
The crossing — the tile the whole road set is built around. Six zebra bars across the carriageway, and at each end of them a kerb that really drops: four flush kerb units, then two dropper kerbs either side whose tops slope back up to full height, not a flight of steps. Behind the flush kerb the footway is a ramp running straight back from the kerb line to the back of the pavement, with a flared wing of cut pavers either side, so the route off the road is a plane a wheel can hold a line on and the back edge of the tile stays at ground level all the way along. A blister warning field of five laid units covers the whole ramp, kerb to back of footway, and the tactile guidance course runs into it from both directions. The dropped kerbs and their flares take the kerb-edge colour, so under High Contrast the crossing lights up as a line. A stripe studded with reflectors edges the crossing on both sides and catches the light after dark; the zebra is chipped at its edges and worn through in the wheel tracks; a gully sits in each channel just upstream of the drop. Mates arm-for-arm with road_straight_accessible_01.
