The rest platform of the kit: 1.60 of level deck at 300 mm, where a flight hands over and where you can stop without holding anything. It is a through landing — the two ends are open, each closed by an end beam with its nosing so a flight butts flat against it, and the two sides carry the same kerb upstand, cast shoes, plumb posts and looped double rail at 950 and 700 as the flights either side. Ten ribbed planks in two panels with a real drainage slot across the middle, a sump plate under it you can see into, and splice plates on all four stringer ends. Underneath, two trestles on four short screw jacks, hand nuts wound up tight and rubber pads squashed onto the paving.
