Excavated ground: the dig floor stepped down from grade with a battered face scalloped by the bucket, bucket-toothed scrape marks dragged across the floor and loose spoil heaped at the toe. This is also the pack's graded-earth `ground_slope` role — a site is dug, not terraced, so the generator reads a real earth batter here rather than a stepped cliff.
