Low-Poly Radome 3D Model (GLB)
The geodesic radome: the station's science hero. A faceted white geodesic dome on a battened steel drum, seated on a chamfered ring beam with a plinth band. The panels catch the low sun in three tones, rime whitens the windward facets and snow lies on the crown. A clad entry vestibule on the south side carries an RF-hazard door, a caged lamp and a snowed canopy. A maintenance ladder climbs the drum and follows the dome's curve on stand-off brackets to the red obstruction beacon and lightning rod at the crown. Small windows, a louvred vent and a junction box punctuate the drum, a drift banks against its windward side, and the tracking dish sits sealed inside.
