Low-Poly Elevated Walkway 3D Model (GLB)
A raised gangway: the grated steel bridge that links the modules a couple of metres above the drift. Channel stringers, cross bearers, bar-grating panels with daylight between the bars, kick plates, and square stanchions carrying a top rail and a mid rail. Caged globe lights on arms burn along the rails at night. It rides on two splayed trestles with hydraulic jack collars, footing pads and X-bracing across and along the span, with a cable tray slung underneath. A side landing and a stair take it down to the snow, and snow lies on the grating with icicles under the edge. One of the key silhouette lines of a polar station, boxes on legs linked by lines, and the piece that ties the rest of the station together.
