A Victorian two-tread library step in oak: shaped cheeks with arched cut-out feet, a coved riser edge and a pierced hand-hole, open beneath the top tread between wedged through-tenoned aprons and a turned back stretcher; each tread a moulded board with a brass nosing screwed along its front, a gilt-ruled oxblood leather inlay let into it and pegged down to the cheeks, standing on rubber feet, with a small brass library plate on the front apron.
